Mackenzie
I'm Mackenzie, the owner and principal photographer of Mackenzie Orth Photography. I love being able to share in the love of two individuals and feel blessed to work with wonderful people each day.
Based out of Milwaukee, WI, I've been shooting weddings for 12 years.
behind the lens
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in journalism, I started taking photography classes with the intention of a career in photojournalism. Instead, I started shooting portraits of family and friends and was instantly hooked! I started my business and never looked back.
When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me at home with my husband Paul and our three kids, Charlie, Archie and Marlowe. Our hands (and hearts) are very full but there is never a dull moment at our house.

Lakeside Drives
I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (feed me cheese, give me beer, go Pack go) and I still marvel at how beautiful Lake Michigan is. Whenever we're back, I'm known for taking the long way home, winding along Lincoln Memorial, taking in whatever pretty shade of blue the lake is that day.

Family
I love my family. I would describe myself as an introvert- I'm most comfortable when I'm with my family. Any free time I have is devoted to weekends at the cabin, dinner with my parents and snapchatting with my siblings. And my sons Charlie and Archie are my favorite people on the planet, they bring me endless joy.

Pretty Little Details
One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is photographing all the details! I was a bride long before I became a photographer, and I know how sentimental these pretty little things can be to a couple-whether it's your grandmother's earrings or a gift from your fiance, I love to take extra care to style and document these significant pieces of your story.

I know, I know. Who isn't obsessed with Beyonce? I am a bonafide member of the beyhive. I've sat second and third row at three of her shows and I wept. Like, I'm serious. I love her so much it hurts.

From the first consultation, to the engagement session and wedding day itself, I pride myself on delivering a one-of-a-kind client experience. I want my client's photos to truly reflect their personalities, both as individuals and as a couple, and I can only do that when I know their story. I am always happy to assist with timelines or photography ideas. I also send out a comprehensive questionnaire to all my clients prior to the wedding to collect all of your important information beforehand. Then you can really be present in the moment and enjoy yourselves and guests. Leave the rest to me!
